Why do I get an error "Hardware changed! Please restore your hardware configuration first then try again" when activating Splashtop Center?

You received this error message because you are trying to activate the same license key either:

  • on a different host machine, or,
  • on the same host machine but with some hardware peripherals disabled or replaced.


Please be reminded that each license key can only be used on the same host machine.  If you have trouble in activating the license key on the same host machine, please contact Splashtop or your System Integrator for further assistance.
